Day 62: April 1
The thought for today is COMMITMENT.
“Until one is committed there is hesitancy, a chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans; that the moment that one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves, too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now!” – Goethe
To be committed is to devote heart and mind to a person, group, or cause. When you commit to something and you take the first step in the direction of your intention, you invoke the power of creation and the Universe begins to move on your behalf. Doors will open that you never knew existed, people will come into your life that will help propel you toward your goal, and opportunities will present themselves to you because you are vibrating in harmonic resonance with them.
Your desire for Peace and nonviolent action is no different. If you treat your intention as unimportant or not worth giving much time and attention to, the Universe will regard it the same way. But ground yourself in Love, make a commitment to Peace, and move confidently and fearlessly to create the nonviolent world of which you dream and prepare to be awed by what happens when you do.
