Season for Nonviolence: Day 60

Day 60: March 30

The thought for today is WITNESSING.

We are here to bear witness to the Truth of Love’s immanent presence in and as each of us. When we see injustice or violence happening, we must stand firm and speak Truth with boldness and conviction. It is our task to shine the Light into the dark corners, cracks, and crevices of human existence and expose the illusory world that our egos have collectively created.

It can be different.

Here is an example of women (and some men) in Iran working for women’s equality in that country.

Witness.org, an organization that “uses video to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations,” has several videos that you can watch. Visit their media archive at The Hub to view them.

By telling the Truth again and again to as many people as will listen about what we have seen and heard, we can create positive change.

Gandhi invited us to “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Be it! Be a witness for Truth.

About Rev. Rebecca

After 30 years of trying to avoid God, I finally gave up playing Jonah and answered Love's call to service by becoming an ordained New Thought minister. Since that day in 2007, I've counseled a lot of people, performed some weddings, been a publiic speaker, and done some non-profit board work. Opportunities for service are presenting themselves in new ways for the coming year and I look forward to more of Love unfolding in my life.
