Season for Nonviolence: Day 5

Day 5: February 3

The thought for today is BELIEVING.

Belief is a product of our thoughts and emotions. The dictionary defines it as an acceptance of (head) and conviction in (heart) the truth, actuality, or validity of something. What we think and how we feel about what we think forms our beliefs; our beliefs then dictate our actions. James Allen, the author of the classic “As a Man Thinketh,” wrote that the outer conditions of a person’s life are a reflection of their inner beliefs. As we say in New Thought, “as within, so without.”

Your Source Is Love and Peace. It Is Limitless Potential and Possibility and so are you, for like begets like. Love begets Love; Peace begets Peace. Your realization of this Truth is essential. When you bring your belief into alignment with it, all else will fall into place. To the extent you raise your consciousness to see and believe that you are Peace incarnate, Peace will be your experience.

“Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around.” Henry David Thoreau

I believe in Peace. It is not only attainable, it is ever present here and now. I Am One with my Source. My thoughts and feelings are in harmony with this Truth. This knowledge brings with it the freedom to Be Who I was meant to Be. This is my Peace.

About Rev. Rebecca

After 30 years of trying to avoid God, I finally gave up playing Jonah and answered Love's call to service by becoming an ordained New Thought minister. Since that day in 2007, I've counseled a lot of people, performed some weddings, been a publiic speaker, and done some non-profit board work. Opportunities for service are presenting themselves in new ways for the coming year and I look forward to more of Love unfolding in my life.
