Take a class. Get involved. Do something to move yourself in the direction of your dreams. The most often overlooked step by those who study metaphysical principles is a vital one: take action. Your dreams will not manifest themselves into reality while you're sitting on your couch watching television. Think it. See it. Feel it. Speak it. Believe it. Then you must act on it. When you take that first step and commit yourself to moving forward, the Universe will open doors for you that you never knew were there. I speak from experience.

2009 SAGINAW VALLEY LGBT PRIDE AWARDS

The first Saginaw Valley LGBT Pride Awards Dinner was held last evening at the Andersen Enrichment Center in Saginaw. I was honored to receive the 2009 Pride Award! Other honorees received awards for Business, Politics, Volunteerism, Lifetime Achievement, and Rising Star.
Michigan Lt. Gov. John Cherry was in attendance and Triangle Foundation Executive Director Alicia Skillman addressed the sold-out house. Dr. Chariissa Urbano from Delta College was MC and presented a tribute to the 40th anniversary of Stonewall, the uprising that gave birth to the modern gay rights movement.
